Adams County Leaders Begin Vision Planning Process

Adams County leaders have officially begun a vision planning process, named Advancing Adams County, which will guide growth and development in the county while complementing its unique character.

ADVANCING ADAMS COUNTY VISION PLAN OPEN HOUSE
On May 29, 2025, a public interactive open house will be conducted at the City of Decatur Farmers Market held at the 100 block of Madison Street; Decatur, Indiana 46733. The purpose of the interactive public open house is to seek input of all generations of Adams County on multiple facets of community, including parks and recreation, economic development, tourism, housing, infrastructure, social programming, and schools.
In the coming months, the steering committee and project team members will attend several community events and hold public open houses to gather feedback. Rainbow Lake will have one way traffic this weekend for the town wide yard sales. Enter on North Drive and exit off of South Drive. This will be for Friday and Saturday only.

Special Public Town Council Meeting May 6, 2025

The Geneva Town Council will have a special public meeting regarding the Sewer Project on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 6:00PM. The meeting will be at the Town Hall located at 411 E Line Street, Geneva. The special meeting is open to the public and residents that live between Winchester Rd. and Richfield Ln, as well as between Harrison St. and Bristol Dr. should plan to attend this meeting. The new sewer line as the potential to affect the trees, fences and outbuildings on your property.
Trash Can Protocol

As the weather gets nicer, more and more Geneva citizens are walking or riding bikes in the community. The Town Hall has been fielding complaints regarding trash cans being left on the sidewalk or laying in the roadway.
Hydrant Flushing

The Town of Geneva will be flushing the fire hydrants the week of May 19th, 2025. You may see some rusty water during this time.
Heavy Trash Day 2025

The Town of Geneva Heavy Trash Day will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 8AM - 12 noon.

On Monday, April 7th, the businesses and apartments on the south side of Line Street, between Decatur and Railroad, will have the water shut off briefly for tap installation. This will occur sometime during the day on Monday and each business will be shut off individually for a brief amount of time in order to hook into the new line.
Town Hall Hours Beginning April 1, 2025

Starting Tuesday, April 1st, the Geneva Town Hall will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8AM-4PM. Wednesday hours will continue to be 8AM-12:30PM. Additionally, the Town Hall will be open the third Saturday of each month 10AM-12PM.

There will be NO STREET PARKING on Butcher Street, between Winchester Road and US 27 starting Monday, March 31st through Wednesday, April 2nd, due to the road being milled and paved. Please be sure not to park on the street during this time.
Extended Hours

The Geneva Town Hall will be open on Thursday, March 27th, from 8AM to 7PM, and Saturday, March 29th, from 9AM to noon to allow citizens to pay their utility bills. Please contact the Clerk-Treasurer at 260-368-7251 to make an appointment to discuss arrangements on outstanding balances.
