Adams County Leaders Begin Vision Planning Process
5/23/2025
Adams County leaders have officially begun a vision planning process, named Advancing Adams County, which will guide growth and development in the county while complementing its unique character.
Advancing Adams County will provide a strategic framework to help county leaders guide decision making in areas of future public investments in multiple facets of the community including, parks and recreation, tourism, housing, infrastructure, social programming and schools. This process aims to balance future County growth with the preservation of local, cultural, and natural resources.
The steering committee, comprised of local elected officials, leaders, and community stakeholders, recently began meeting and is prioritizing community input and feedback.
"As a county commissioner, knowing the community's vision for our future is key in many of our decisions. Your input into this shared vision is critical to our understanding of that "very best" version of Adams County, and how to move toward that vision." “Our goal is to create a sustainable, vibrant future for all residents in Adams County,” said Steve Bailey, Adams County Commissioner.
“Our goal is to create a sustainable, vibrant future for all residents in Adams County,” said Colton Bickel, Adams County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director. “We want to hear from residents throughout our county, and we encourage you to provide feedback as we begin this important process of planning our vibrant future.”
In the coming months, members of the steering committee and project team will be attending several community events and holding public open houses to gather feedback.
