In January of 2019, Michael Baer was appointed as the Executive Director of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.  Michael replaced past Executive Director Pam Krause, who resigned the position in late 2018. 

Michael's life experiences bring a wealth of knowledge to the Chamber and Geneva Proud and we are excited to have him as our Executive Director.  Michael graduated of Taylor High School in Kokomo Indiana.  After graduation, Michael attended Indiana University where he obtained a B.S. in Secondary Education.  Continuing his education, he then attended St. Hilda's College where he completed Graduate work in Modern British Education.  From there he attended Boston University where he studied Physics.  In 1993 he became a Certified Youth Consultant through Group Publishing and  then went on to receive a Certificate in Public Speaking from Duke University.  In 2001, Michael received his M.A.E. in Secondary Education from Ball State University. 

Michael began his teaching career at Noblesville High School in 1976.  He has also instructed at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis, and at Converse Church of Christ in Converse.  In 1997, Michael came to South Adams where he has been teaching since and looks to retire from.
